What Stage One Actually Means
It is three things working together. A freer flowing intake a less restrictive exhaust and a fuel tune that tells the engine what to do with both. Change one and the tune is wrong. Change all three and the bike wakes up.
Expect a real gain in midrange torque which is the part you use pulling out of a junction or overtaking on Route 17. Peak horsepower is the number people quote but midrange is the number you feel.
Heat Is The Other Half
A factory tune runs lean to meet emissions and lean runs hot. In a Virginia August sitting in traffic on the Downtown Tunnel approach that heat comes straight up at your legs.
A proper tune richens the mixture where it matters and adjusts the timing to suit. Riders tell us the drop in heat is the change they notice first and the one they would pay for on its own.
Tuning On The Dyno Not By Guesswork
An off the shelf map is a starting point not an answer. Your bike your exhaust your altitude and the fuel you buy all move the target so we tune on the dyno and check the result rather than loading a file and hoping.
